Higher Thought: The Sex, Love and Dating Game is a project we’ve had in the works now for quite some time, but somehow we haven’t yet found the gumption to make it a real thing.
Nonetheless, we do have, shovel-ready, 172 open ended higher-thought type questions designed to elicit fun, authentic conversation, such as:
Describe a time when love blinded you.
Name one significant thing you have learned about yourself from dating.
At what age should children learn about sex, and why?
What words or phrases do you NEVER want to hear spoken during sex?
Name a lovable quality in someone else who is present.
Are some people privileged when it comes to love?
Are you worthy of love at this very moment?
If your heart was talking to your sex organs, what would it say?
Is there a correlation between how someone shows up for sex and how they show up emotionally?
And so on …
We also have 28 ready-to-go buzzkills, like these:
Which of the following was the title of a book written by the eminent 18th-century Swiss physician, neurologist, and Vatican advisor Samuel Auguste-Tissot?
- Principles of Godly Sexuality
- Onanism. Dissertation on Diseases Produced by Masturbation
- Virginity, Health and the Blessings of Unsullied Love
- Negative Neurological Impacts of Promiscuity
Which of the following facts about animal sex are true, and which are fiction?
- Banana slugs’ penises grow out of their heads
- Mouse sperm is larger than elephant sperm
- Giraffes engage in a form of tongue-kissing much like human French kissing.
- Dolphins have oral sex.
If you reply to this email and ask for the answers to the above questions, we’ll tell you (though it may take a few days).
What We Don’t Have (Yet)
We don’t have the funds to produce our new game. Nor do we have a final design quite yet, though we’re working on it.
Our idea is to raise the necessary funds through a Kickstarter campaign, but frankly we’re stuck. We’ve looked at some of the other Kickstarter videos that are out there and we’re a bit intimidated. Right now, we’re just a working team of two people – Marc and Susan – and neither of us has ever produced a video.
Though they don’t explicitly REQUIRE one, Kickstarter strongly recommends that prospective campaigns “make a compelling video.” They assure us that it “doesn’t have to be super slick,” but we’re not so sure. The ones we’ve looked at so far are slicker than anything we could imagine ourselves doing, given the state of our skills in that department.
Why Are We Telling You This?
In a nutshell, we need help. If this project is ever going to come to fruition, we’ll need a video. We have some ideas for it, as well as some decent preliminary text for our Kickstarter project page.
What we need is someone who is truly inspired to create – or at least help us create – a lively and engaging short video. Someone to help us conceptualize and actualize it (heavy on the “actualize” part).
So we hope there is someone out there who: a) has some video-making experience; b) is a fan of the cannabis game; and c) loves the idea of our Sex, Love, and Dating game.
So … if this is you … or someone you know … please reach out to us. We’ll work out some type of compensation – most likely in the form of profit-sharing – that will feel right to us all.
If this interests you, we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Peace and love,
Marc and Susan
