The Place Where Everything’s Okay

We only arrive – if we arrive at all – now.

We never arrive in the future because the future is not here.

We only arrive--if we arrive at all--now.

I read a cool story last night from One Minute Nonsense by Anthony De Mello, S.J.:

The Master taught that one reason people are so unhappy is that they think there is nothing that they cannot change.

He especially enjoyed the story of the man who says to the shopkeeper, ‘This radio you sold me is excellent for quality of sound; but I want it exchanged for one that has better programs.‘

I hope millennials, who now have access to any channel imaginable and no need for “radios” per se, can understand this story. But whether they can or not, that’s what’s playing.
